Time flies....

Well Lilly is now 9 1/2 months. It's is incredible how fast time went by! I can hardly believe that in 2 1/2 months she will be a year old. She has developed so much it's incredible! She babbles, crawls, stands on her own, tries to walk, and learning to recognize items to go with words. I couldn't be more proud of this little girl! She has just recently had her first tooth break through, although it is not far enough through to take a picture yet.

I myself have switched jobs from the Lego Store in Downtown Disney, to working in Disneyland. It was a fun and new experience. I couldn't be happier with my job, but I would love to be a stay at home mom so I can teach her more things and watch her learn all day. That doesn't get the bills paid or diapers, unfortunately.

I am excited for the next year to come I just wish time would slow down a bit. Hope all is well with all of you, and be happy!

One month...

Well today my baby girl turns a month old. She doesn't listen to me, but I tell her to stop growing so fast. It feels like yesterday (and forever ago) that I gave birth to a little 6 pound 12 ounce baby girl. She has changed our world forever. We have learned a lot about ourselves in this past month. I think the one thing I have learned that sticks out to me, is that I was meant to be a mom. I always knew I would one day want kids, but was very skeptical on how I would be as a mom. Well, she has showed me that I am meant for it! Omeed has learned that good things come in little packages, but that you also have to work hard in life to create a good future for that little package. Now, without further ado, here are a few pictures from her first month of life!

She has the most precious eyes I have ever looked into!

Watching her sleep is so relaxing!

She has the CUTEST feet EVER!!!!

So peaceful!
 So Beautiful!
 We love Sophie!

I hope these pictures brightened your day! Feel free to see the rest on Facebook! Have a beautiful day everyone!

Yay...

Hello again! I finally got my pictures of Lilly back! I figured I would share some of them with you on here. I don't want all of them on Facebook, but I will be putting some pictures on there that won't be in this blog, and some on this blog that won't be on Facebook. Here are a few pictures from the day she was born.

That was a truly incredible day that I will never forget. It seems like it has been longer than just about a month, and at the same time it seems like it was just yesterday. I am cherishing every moment of it. Enjoy the pictures, and have a beautiful day!

Finally!...

Well, after some unfortunate computer issues and hours at the Apple Store, my computer is up and running again! The downside to it being fixed, is that I lost all of my photos. The important ones I can at least get from my mom! So I will have pictures of Lilly's adventure so far once we visit my family in a week.

As you all know, Lilly has FINALLY arrived! She was born on the 28th of January at 1:41 pm. She was born 6 pounds 12 ounces, and 18 1/2 inches long. She is now 7 pounds and 2 ounces! I had a relatively easy 8 hour labor. It was only easy due to the pain medications that I couldn't seem to get quick enough. Once I got the pain meds all I wanted to do was sleep! Once I started to push she was here in no time! Once I pulled her up to my chest and heard her cry for the first time, I cried! Omeed was crying the whole time too! He was so excited for her to get here!

Once we went home, I felt a little more nervous about the whole parenting thing, but had the help of my mom and brother. They were here for about a week after she was born. After they went back home (7 hours away) I got REALLY nervous about doing things on my own. The part I was the most nervous about was knowing what to do and when. After a day I had things down, but the nervousness didn't really go away for a few days.

Now she is 11 days old and the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Yeah I may be biased on that, but I didn't realized how much she would captivate me! I can stare at her for hours on end! She also makes the cutest faces and show the most adorable expressions EVER! Even her poopy face is cute! I can't wait to share her pictures with everyone!! Have a beautiful night everyone!!

Still waiting...

Well, mom and DJ made it down safely and in very good time. We decided to go to Disneyland yesterday since it was Lilly's due date, in hopes that the walking would help Lilly decide to join the party. Well, the Disneyland magic just wasn't working right yesterday. Besides getting swollen, nothing happened. Today we had another doctor's appointment, and Lilly still isn't going to be joining us too soon. The doctor said that my cervix is still closed. So, lots of walking for the next couple of days, hoping that will speed up her arrival.

I am definitely ready for my daughter to join us here. Sleeping is near impossible at the moment, which really doesn't bother me, except that I am in quite a bit of pain most of the night. I can handle lack of sleep, and waking up to feed and change baby won't be a problem, because I won't be in pain like I am now. That's the hardest part right now is the pain during sleep. Other than that I had a very nice pregnancy.

The first 3 months were the hardest because of the "morning" (all day) sickness. I was getting sick in the morning, and at work, and at night. That was definitely not fun! Fortunately, the "morning sickness" didn't return in my later months, like I have heard is very common. I didn't really have any weird or constant cravings. I wanted sandwiches more often than usual, but that was about it. The weirdest thing, in my opinion, that happened was part of my hair turned red in the beginning of my pregnancy. The, now, light brown natural highlights that I have in my hair were red for a good 2-3 months. I found that weird. I had heard about your hair getting thicker and healthier from the vitamins, but not changing color.

Well, it's about time to go on a walk and hope this process gets started up soon. What was the weirdest thing that happened during your pregnancy? Have a beautiful day everyone!

Over-compensating...

So to follow up with yesterdays pot, I went a little over board with being productive and organized today. I worked on my new YouTube channel (Omeed wanted me to join on the gaming venture with him). That link will be at the end of this post. I also worked on the channel art for both of our pages today. The link for his will be at the end as well. Feel free to go check those out. I also wrote out a schedule for his video postings (he would like to do them daily) to work around his work schedule. Then I played some Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I am trying to 100% that game and boy is it time consuming! I am, also, overly organized with that game as well!

Of course, most of all that I did today will fly right out of the window for a while once Lilly arrives. At least it is all started and ready to go when we will be able to get back to it. It is something fun to occupy spare time with, and if you really enjoy it, I can see how it easily turns into a hobby. I would do it regularly for sure!

In other news, my mom and brother are driving down tomorrow! I am so darn excited it is a little ridiculous. Then Lilly can join us any day! She just has to wait until her Grandma gets here to decide to make her entrance into the world. So far, it looks like she may make us wait a few extra days anyways, but then again you never know!

In random news, Miss Congeniality is playing on the TV in the living room and I am quoting it as I am typing. I don't know how many times I have had to go back and fix a sentence because I start typing out what I am quoting! Haha! Well I feel like being productive again so off I go to find something to do!

Stir Crazy...

Well, I thought I was going to love all of the free time that came with maternity leave, but boy was I wrong! I mean I love the free time and not having to stand on my feet for 5 hours at a time, or having to rely on my co-workers all the time to essentially do my job (thanks guys!!!), but I am running out of things to do! I have done just about everything I can think of to prepare for Lilly's arrival. I have prepared our hospital bag, made my birth plan, set up the bassinet, washed the laundry, set up the changing table (and organized the diapers and wipes, etc.). I also, started several crafting projects. I started a rug that is almost finished, I finished the top of my hand sewn quilt, and started the design for the back of it. Pinterest has become an almost unhealthy thing since I want to do EVERYTHING I see on there. I built a little house out of Lego bricks. I also finished Breaking Bad (which is probably the only TV series I have watched where I felt closure at the end). I help Omeed with his YouTube channel. I talk to my fish, Jengo. I go on walks around the block. I am running out of things to do! Haha!

I am hoping that Lilly doesnt wait too much longer to arrive, because I am starting to go a little crazy! I am also ready to go to Disneyland again, but am too scared to go at the moment, because I dont want to go into labor there. No, I don't think it would be as cool as it sounds. Haha! I am, also, ready to be active again and start working out. I feel like a big blob since I sit most of the time. Yeah I go on walks and move around and get some exercise, but other than that I don't have the energy to do much else.

So, to all the moms out there, what did you do in your spare "you time" before baby arrived? I know I should probably cherish this "me time", but it is starting to get to me! Let me know! Now off for some more "me time", haha! Have a beautiful day everyone!!

My biggest adventure yet....

Hello again, friends and family. As you all know I will be embarking on my biggest adventure yet. I am going to be a mom. With Lilly's due date being a week from today it has really hit me that I have no idea what to do. I know things will come to me instinctually, but in the mean time it makes me more nervous than I thought it would.

I do have the best support system I could ask for, though. My mom and brother will be driving down in about 4 1/2 days to be here for her birth and to help out for a bit. I know they aren't going to want to go home, though. I get to visit them later in February so it won't be too bad.

Lilly is going to have the greatest dad she could ever imagine. Omeed has been the biggest help throughout the pregnancy. He understands everything going on with my body, and that I can't do things I am normally capable of doing on my own (like turning over in bed, or even getting out of bed). He helps every way he can. The most beautiful thing about him is that he already loves his daughter more than anything else and can't wait for her to be here. He has been excited since the very beginning and I find that incredible. Especially with him being so young. Yes, I am young myself, but he is 3 years younger than I.

His family has been very supportive as well. I thank them for letting me live with them and essentially become a part of their family in such a small amount of time, and in the most unconventional way.

I have decided that since most of my family and friends live so far away I will start to use this more often to share Lilly with everyone. I will post pictures and videos on a regular basis for everyone to see in one spot, instead of having to go on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Everything will still be on those sites but this will have it all! :)

I am also happy to announce that Omeed is getting his video gaming YouTube channel up and running again. It is something he really enjoys doing and is excited to get going again.

Well, I'm off to enjoy a nice 70-something degree so-cal January day. Have a beautiful day everyone!

Hello family! I miss you all, to say the very least! I had a productive day off and am now bored since I don't have a whole lot to do for the rest of the night. I thought I would make good use of this time and let you all know how much I appreciate you guys!

Momma! You are still my hero and inspiration in everything I do. I know that I am struggling out here on my own, but do not worry, I know that I can always show up at the doorstep and be home whenever I need to. I am happy to finally get school underway, and you are my drive to get it done! :)

Dad! Happy (early) Father's Day! I just want to say thank you for all you have done for the family over the years, and the time you had to sacrifice away from us to keep us (and the country) safe. You really are a "SuperDad". I can't wait to visit home and make fun of you soon! :)

Meggy! I can't believe you will be in your senior year this fall! I remember when I launched you out of a toy stroller and almost broke your face! True love right there (haha)! You are my best friend and a wonderful person to talk to in times of need. I am so proud of the person you are shaping up to be.

Darrian! We are one in the same, we probably should have been twins! Whenever I need a laugh, you are there :) You have the biggest heart of anyone I know and that is something hard to come by now-a-days! Always stay true to who you are no matter what anyone says. Unless they say to be Batman.... then, be Batman!

I can't wait to see you guys in about 5 days! WooHoo! Well I am going to go be a lazy bum and watch a movie now. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!! <3

New Year, New Motivation

With the beginning of a new year, people get a sense of new-found motivation. I am definitely one of those people. My goal is usually always the same: to make progress towards my life goals. I guess technically we always make progress towards our goals, slowly. I have made a huge step towards my goal this past year. I finally decided what I would like to do with my life, and I now have the proper motivation to go to school for it. I am, like everyone else, sure that this year will be better than the last.

I feel that for myself, this will be a good year in moving forward in my life goals, and making more progress than I have before. I hope that you do the same, whether it happens on it's own or if you have to make it happen.

Rant on Society

Hello again! Here is a little rant for the day. Is it just me or is the society as a whole getting slowly dumber? My heart is very sad that the youth of today is so rude, and seemingly uneducated. It makes me scared for the future when I have children. Is society going to be worse? Better? I guess what really makes me sad is the fact that people don't do anything about it. Oh they say they do, but I believe many parents have become either too lazy to do anything, or, have become so wrapped up in their own social networked lives that they don't even see whats going on. It has become very tempting in the last couple of weeks to just delete my Facebook, and go back to communicating over the phone, and actually talk to people. Things were a little less complicated back then because you didn't have to worry about, who would see what post, or who would take what the wrong way. Now-a-days it would be a stress reliever to not have a Facebook. Gone are the days where you would say something to someones face and deal with it. People have become too strong and hostile behind their keyboards. People are proud of being mean and malicious to others, but if someone does it to them then they are the victim and can't seem to understand why they would be treated that way. I still stick with my morals. Treat others how you want to be treated, respect your elders, if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything. What has happened?

Now that the rant is over, back to life :) Please take some things that I have said here and apply them to your life if needed, and help apply them to others as well. And parents, you are suppose to be monitoring your children, not becoming one of them.

Have a beautiful day! :)

New job, new routines...

So as many of you know I have started a new job. I am working at the Lego store in Downtown Disney. Now that I am working (even though I have only worked one day so far) I feel motivated to do so much more in my days. I have started to routinely work out and eat healthier foods. Hopefully, I will work my butt off (literally) and get healthier. No more fast food, and salty chips for me! The next thing on my agenda, now that I have a job, is saving up some money!!! I have many things that I need to save up for! Well I just had lots of energy and felt like doing a small blog, although I could probably drone on and on about nothing in particular. :) <3 Have a beautiful day!

Today...

Today is just another day, with a dash of boredom. So, I decided to write another post. Not about anything in particular. This past week has been a very active and fun week. On Tim's 3 days off we did quite a bit. On his first day off we picked up the new PS Vita, and it is an amazing device! Definitely something every portable game player should have!!! It's very easy to use and has so many cool features! On his second day off we went to Knott's Berry Farm. It was pretty fun, except for the ride Ghost Rider. That is the most awful ride I have ever been on! I don't mean "Oh that was a boring, lame ride." This is the ride who's slogan should be, "Ever wanted a reason to go to the chiropractor, or possibly your doctor?" I understand that it is a wooden roller coaster, but oh my goodness!! At the end of the ride I felt like all my vertebra were out of place. I will never be riding that ride ever again! Too painful! On his third day off we went to the movies. We saw the new movie Wanderlust. It was a good movie, at least I thought so. If you don't mind naked people then you may like this movie. All in all, it was a good week :) Now it's back into the swing of work (for Tim anyways). Hopefully I will be joining the working life soon! Have a beautiful day everyone!

For Everyone's Sake...

I am sure that I am not alone when I say that I am getting very tired of trying to decipher what people are saying on the internet. I may have made mistakes, but I do try my hardest not to make them. I am not saying that I have never purposely spelled things incorrectly or unnecessarily abbreviated a word that didn't need to be. I use to do that all the time, when I was in HIGH SCHOOL! I am not just speaking of the younger people, I am talking about people older than myself. It makes me sad, because I know that spelling was very important in their schooling and the internet wasn't as big when they were in school, so this really goes to show how much the internet has affected us. Many people blame their phones, but I am sure that taking the 3 extra seconds to look it over and edit a few words isn't going to harm your day. Many of the things that people type don't even mean what they are using it for. For example: ppl does not stand for people it is an abbreviation for the word participle. Don't believe me? Look it up. I would like to challenge all who read this to spell, type, and speak correctly for an entire week, when you're online, talking to friends and family, or texting. I bet not many people can do it. For the sake of our literacy and the future of literacy, take this challenge! I know that I will be.

A New Year...

With the new year, many people make resolutions to better themselves and their lives, less than half of those people follow through with what they say. My New Years resolution is to always follow through with what I say. No matter how small or big that task or promise may be, I am going to follow through. I would like to challenge all who read this to do the same, adults and children alike. If you say or promise something, follow through. This is surprisingly challenging for a lot of people! Now on with 2012, I hope it is filled with adventure!

Giving thanks...

This adventure that Tim and I have started has been amazing. We have our own apartment, a wonderful dog and an absolutely amazing relationship. I am thankful for all of those things and so much more. I am thankful for all the support we have received from both of our families. We could not have done any of this with out their love, support and help. So to our families, I say "Thank you!"

I would also like to give thanks to the new friends that Tim has made, they may not realize it, but they have made things so much easier for us out here.

I would also like to say thanks to my hobbies, because if it weren't for them I would probably gone insane. Since I have been unable to find a job since we have moved to Anaheim, I spend all my time in the apartment. My hobbies and creativity have kept me sane! Haha.

I would like for everyone to take a moment and be thankful for everything you have in life. All the little things you do for yourself, or others, that makes you happy. For all the smiles, laughs, and good times you have had. Just be thankful.

Family...

So this is the longest period of time in which I have been away from my family. I know they are proud of me for making it as far as I have, but I do miss them terribly. It makes me feel, now, that I did not spend as much time with them as I should have. My sister is in high school, and although we are COMPLETE opposites, I wish I could be there to talk to her about all the things sisters would talk about. She makes me feel so old and yet so young at the same time!! I LOVE YOU MEG!!! And my brother is going to be in junior high soon. We are so much alike it is a bit ridiculous! And although we always pick on each other and call each other names and what-not, I miss having our own little mini raves in the living room while everyone was at softball. I LOVE YOU D.J.!!!! My dad is not home much now, since he works far away, but I still wish I was at home to see him when he finally got home from a long week of working and make fun of his (now disappearing) "patch". I LOVE YOU DAD!!!!!!!!!! And my Mommy, who does so much for everyone she knows, but doesn't always get it in return, I love you and wish I could be there to lend a hand. I appreciate every lecture you have ever given to me, every "grounding" I ever got, and the moral support you have always given me. I LOVE YOU MOMMY!!!!!!! You, my family, have built me up to what I am today and I appreciate EVERYTHING. I LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!!!!!!
