Still waiting...

Well, mom and DJ made it down safely and in very good time. We decided to go to Disneyland yesterday since it was Lilly's due date, in hopes that the walking would help Lilly decide to join the party. Well, the Disneyland magic just wasn't working right yesterday. Besides getting swollen, nothing happened. Today we had another doctor's appointment, and Lilly still isn't going to be joining us too soon. The doctor said that my cervix is still closed. So, lots of walking for the next couple of days, hoping that will speed up her arrival.

I am definitely ready for my daughter to join us here. Sleeping is near impossible at the moment, which really doesn't bother me, except that I am in quite a bit of pain most of the night. I can handle lack of sleep, and waking up to feed and change baby won't be a problem, because I won't be in pain like I am now. That's the hardest part right now is the pain during sleep. Other than that I had a very nice pregnancy.

The first 3 months were the hardest because of the "morning" (all day) sickness. I was getting sick in the morning, and at work, and at night. That was definitely not fun! Fortunately, the "morning sickness" didn't return in my later months, like I have heard is very common. I didn't really have any weird or constant cravings. I wanted sandwiches more often than usual, but that was about it. The weirdest thing, in my opinion, that happened was part of my hair turned red in the beginning of my pregnancy. The, now, light brown natural highlights that I have in my hair were red for a good 2-3 months. I found that weird. I had heard about your hair getting thicker and healthier from the vitamins, but not changing color.

Well, it's about time to go on a walk and hope this process gets started up soon. What was the weirdest thing that happened during your pregnancy? Have a beautiful day everyone!

Over-compensating...

So to follow up with yesterdays pot, I went a little over board with being productive and organized today. I worked on my new YouTube channel (Omeed wanted me to join on the gaming venture with him). That link will be at the end of this post. I also worked on the channel art for both of our pages today. The link for his will be at the end as well. Feel free to go check those out. I also wrote out a schedule for his video postings (he would like to do them daily) to work around his work schedule. Then I played some Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I am trying to 100% that game and boy is it time consuming! I am, also, overly organized with that game as well!

Of course, most of all that I did today will fly right out of the window for a while once Lilly arrives. At least it is all started and ready to go when we will be able to get back to it. It is something fun to occupy spare time with, and if you really enjoy it, I can see how it easily turns into a hobby. I would do it regularly for sure!

In other news, my mom and brother are driving down tomorrow! I am so darn excited it is a little ridiculous. Then Lilly can join us any day! She just has to wait until her Grandma gets here to decide to make her entrance into the world. So far, it looks like she may make us wait a few extra days anyways, but then again you never know!

In random news, Miss Congeniality is playing on the TV in the living room and I am quoting it as I am typing. I don't know how many times I have had to go back and fix a sentence because I start typing out what I am quoting! Haha! Well I feel like being productive again so off I go to find something to do!

Stir Crazy...

Well, I thought I was going to love all of the free time that came with maternity leave, but boy was I wrong! I mean I love the free time and not having to stand on my feet for 5 hours at a time, or having to rely on my co-workers all the time to essentially do my job (thanks guys!!!), but I am running out of things to do! I have done just about everything I can think of to prepare for Lilly's arrival. I have prepared our hospital bag, made my birth plan, set up the bassinet, washed the laundry, set up the changing table (and organized the diapers and wipes, etc.). I also, started several crafting projects. I started a rug that is almost finished, I finished the top of my hand sewn quilt, and started the design for the back of it. Pinterest has become an almost unhealthy thing since I want to do EVERYTHING I see on there. I built a little house out of Lego bricks. I also finished Breaking Bad (which is probably the only TV series I have watched where I felt closure at the end). I help Omeed with his YouTube channel. I talk to my fish, Jengo. I go on walks around the block. I am running out of things to do! Haha!

I am hoping that Lilly doesnt wait too much longer to arrive, because I am starting to go a little crazy! I am also ready to go to Disneyland again, but am too scared to go at the moment, because I dont want to go into labor there. No, I don't think it would be as cool as it sounds. Haha! I am, also, ready to be active again and start working out. I feel like a big blob since I sit most of the time. Yeah I go on walks and move around and get some exercise, but other than that I don't have the energy to do much else.

So, to all the moms out there, what did you do in your spare "you time" before baby arrived? I know I should probably cherish this "me time", but it is starting to get to me! Let me know! Now off for some more "me time", haha! Have a beautiful day everyone!!

My biggest adventure yet....

Hello again, friends and family. As you all know I will be embarking on my biggest adventure yet. I am going to be a mom. With Lilly's due date being a week from today it has really hit me that I have no idea what to do. I know things will come to me instinctually, but in the mean time it makes me more nervous than I thought it would.

I do have the best support system I could ask for, though. My mom and brother will be driving down in about 4 1/2 days to be here for her birth and to help out for a bit. I know they aren't going to want to go home, though. I get to visit them later in February so it won't be too bad.

Lilly is going to have the greatest dad she could ever imagine. Omeed has been the biggest help throughout the pregnancy. He understands everything going on with my body, and that I can't do things I am normally capable of doing on my own (like turning over in bed, or even getting out of bed). He helps every way he can. The most beautiful thing about him is that he already loves his daughter more than anything else and can't wait for her to be here. He has been excited since the very beginning and I find that incredible. Especially with him being so young. Yes, I am young myself, but he is 3 years younger than I.

His family has been very supportive as well. I thank them for letting me live with them and essentially become a part of their family in such a small amount of time, and in the most unconventional way.

I have decided that since most of my family and friends live so far away I will start to use this more often to share Lilly with everyone. I will post pictures and videos on a regular basis for everyone to see in one spot, instead of having to go on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Everything will still be on those sites but this will have it all! :)

I am also happy to announce that Omeed is getting his video gaming YouTube channel up and running again. It is something he really enjoys doing and is excited to get going again.

Well, I'm off to enjoy a nice 70-something degree so-cal January day. Have a beautiful day everyone!
